Billy

"It's Beautiful."
I'm lying down now.
Billy saw me, crushed.
Brian saw beauty.
And young Allen slit his wrists.
Poppin' pain pills nonstop.
It's kind of funny how they only bring more pain.
Young William tried prozac.
(you know, to take the edge off life.)
I've been doing heroin.
(To take the edge off Billy and the prozac.)
"It's beautiful, Your beautiful, Allen."
Allen by the way didn't succeed.
It was a beauty only Brian could see.
Billy is crying and I'm going to go and make some money.
(to alleviate the boredom.)
Allen's still depressed.
So the doctor increases his dosage.
"Why do people have to shit on each other Allen?"
"Allen?"
"Take some more prozac because times are getting harder."
"Brian says your beautiful, and Billy tries to emulate you."
I step back for a moment and wait for Brian
to Finish a long string of blessings.
"You know I've got to go, and you'll be on your own soon."
"Maybe it's for the best. I am ashamed when I am with you."
Billy is also ashamed, but of other things.
Brian, He's just beautiful.
Me, I'm bored and so I have to go.
"You're beautiful James."
"uh thank you, thank you. I gotta go."
And I'm out of damn pain pills.
