The Lonely Crab

In the south by the side of the sea on a stone,
The loneliest crab did roam,
Did roam by the side of the sea on a stone,
Searching for something unknown.
Something unknown to this crab of the sands,
A small piece of glass or a rusty tin can.
But all he found was some wood washed ashore
From far distant lands.
And he picked it up in his pincher like hands,
And carried it off to his home in the sands.
He quietly placed the wood in a pile marked known,
Please that his pile of known had grown.
He sat quite alone, in his burrow, his home,
Dreaming of tomorrows unknown.
By the side of the see near a stone.
